South River traveled to Northeast High School to play in the JV County Championship.  The Seahawks looked to avenge their only loss of the season against the Wildcats of Arundel High School.  Both teams recorded only one loss and one tie on the season.  The Seahawks had scored 55 goals and allowed only three, but two of those were against Arundel.  The championship game started as a duplicate of their in-season contest.  Both teams had goal scoring opportunities in both halves but the game remained scoreless at the end of regulation.  The first overtime again remained scoreless to force a second session.  Neither team was able to provide a game winner and it looked like the championship was destined to be decided in penalty kicks.  With three minutes left in the second overtime, Arundel had a breakaway through the Seahawks back line and shot at South River goalkeeper, Maddie Dubois.  Dubois was unable to reach the shot in the lower right corner of the goal and the Seahawks suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to end an otherwise successful season.
