The Eagles of Northeast High School came to Edgewater to face the undefeated Seahawks.  The first half was a defensive struggle for both teams although South River managed to keep the majority of the play on the Eagles side of the field.  Terrific play by the Northeast keeper turned away numerous scoring opportunities by the Seahawks.  The Eagles found themselves in a scoreless tie with the Seahawks although being outplayed most of the first half. South River continued their offensive dominance in the second half.  The Seahawks were finally able to get on the board five minutes into the half when Jaclyn Bredenkamp passed to Adriana Parker in the box who shot past the keeper for a 1 - 0 South River lead.  Alyssa Cowens scored unassisted three minutes later to push the lead to 2 - 0.  The Northeast defense stymied the Seahawks for most of the second half but their offense was not able to break through the back line of South River to get any shots on keeper Maddie Dubois.  Seahawks leading scorer, Parker, gave the Seahawks some breathing room three minutes before the final whistle when Ana Ippolito assisted her with South River’s third goal and a 3 - 0 final score.  South River held Northeast without a shot on goal for the entire game.
