South River hosted the visiting Patriots of Old Mill High School.  The Seahawks pressured the Old Mill keeper early in the first half but excellent goalkeeping kept the game scoreless for the first twenty minutes.  Old Mill was first to put a score on the board when a breakaway attacker faced South River keeper, Brooke Scott, one on one and placed her shot to the right of Scott’s outstretched hands for the 1-0 lead.  Seahawks attacker Gabby Holbert tied the game minutes later with a hard direct kick into the left corner of the goal.  South River took their first lead of the game three minutes before halftime when Bella Cerza took a long cross from Alyssa Cowens and fired past the Patriots keeper for a 2-1 lead.  South River pressured the keeper three more times but good goalkeeping kept the score 2-1 at the half.  The second half started with more shots on the Patriots keeper until Cowens scored her first goal of the game from a through ball from Holbert to push the lead to 3-1.  A final score of 4-1 was reached when Parry Wilson stole a pass from the defender and shot low past the Old Mill keeper into the right corner of the goal.  South River outshot the Old Mill offense 10 - 2 to remain undefeated in the young season.
