The Seahawks traveled to Harwood to face the Bulldogs of Southern High School. South River's front line immediately put pressure on the Southern keeper from the start of the game. The Seahawks put several shots on goal in the opening minutes but were unable to get on the board until ten minutes into the half. At that time, Mary Giamo crossed a long pass to Maddie Bonzella in the box which she shot hard into the corner for a 1-0 lead. Three minutes later, Ashley Tarjick dribbled to the top of the box and launched a high shot from twenty yards out over the keeper to push the lead to 2-0. The Bulldogs defense settled in and the Southern keeper made several saves to keep the Seahawks off the board for the next thirteen minutes. At that time, Gabby Holbert curved a corner kick off the keeper's fingertips into the goal for a 3-0 Seahawks lead. Twenty-eight minutes into the half, Caitlyn "Bam-Bam' Gibson hit a hard shot that was blocked by the keeper, and Mia Piazza took the rebound and fired past the keeper to provide a four goal advantage for the Seahawks. The first half ended with South River holding the 4-0 lead at the break. Two minutes into the second half, Makenzie Shields made it a 5-0 lead when she took a pass from Kelsey Racette and passed into the corner of the goal past the reach of the keeper. At the forty-one minute mark, Kayla Bobick was the recipient of a scrum in front of the goal when the ball cleared out to her and she shot through the crowd for a 6-0 lead. Six minutes later, Morgan McLean put a long throw-in into the box which Laney Owenby received and shot to the right corner of the goal for a commanding 7-0 lead. Nine minutes later, Tarjick launched a high cross into the box and Amanda Parmele flicked the ball off the side of her head into the side netting of the goal for a Seahawks final score of 8-0. The Seahawks defense held the Bulldogs without a shot on goal and the South River offense managed twenty-nine shots of their own. South River improved to 11-0 and Southern fell to 7-4.
