South River traveled to Harwood, MD to face the Southern Bulldogs. Southern started out strong and shocked the Seahawks eight minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. The score ended a string of 398 scoreless minutes recorded by the South River keepers, Jordan Vincent, Kelsey Winters and Mia Sumera. The Seahawks answered five minutes later when Caitlyn "Bam-Bam" Gibson scored off an assist from Rylee "Pebbles" Kelly. At the twenty-two minute mark, Caroline Calmon gave South River their first lead when she took a pass from Grace Casper and shot under the diving Bulldogs keeper for a 2-1 lead. Sophia Michalsky-Cooper extended the lead two minutes later scoring unassisted after dribbling through the Southern back line and shooting past the keeper for a 3-1 Seahawks lead. South River pressured the goal for the rest of the first half but great goalkeeping by the Bulldogs keeper kept the score 3-1 at halftime. The Seahawks started strong in the second half but could not add to their lead until Tess Casper fired a shot into the box from eighteen yards out that deflected into the goal for a 4-1 South River lead. Three minutes later, Casper's twin sister, Grace, took a pass from Michalsky-Cooper and shot low past the Bulldogs keeper for a 5-1 lead. Both teams pressed hard the final twenty-five minutes but neither could add to the score and the game ended with a final South River win 5-1. South River recorded twenty-two shots on goal to Southern's two shots.
