The Seahawks traveled to Pasadena, MD to face the Chesapeake Cougars. The teams played most of the first half in the midfield with South River able to get a few shots on goal and holding Chesapeake without a single shot. In the 28th minute, Chesapeake was called for a foul just outside the box. Lisette Carneiro took the direct kick and placed a hard shot into the crowded box and the ball found its way into the goal to give the Seahawks a 1-0 lead, which they took into halftime. Five minutes in the second half Grace Casper pushed the lead to 2-0 when she put a shot over the Cougars goalkeeper from about fifteen yards out. Both teams made several more attempts to score the rest of the game, but fine goalkeeping by Chesapeake and South River's Jordan Vincent and Kelsey Winters kept the final score 2-0 Seahawks. South River's midfield of Tess Casper, Megan Sebold, Charlotte "Cha-Cha" Chamberlin, Sophia Michalsky-Cooper, Rylee "Pebbles" Kelly, Caroline Calmon, Lisette Carneiro and Ellie Pikulsky helped the defense to their fifth shutout of the season.
