South River continued their successful season at home with a strong showing against the Glen Burnie Gophers.  Dominating play from the opening kickoff, the Seahawks got on the scoreboard four minutes into the game when Cristina Young found an open Sami Moreland in front of the goal who placed a hard shot past the keeper for a 1-0 lead.  Six minutes later Melissa Blair scored unassisted for the Seahawks second goal.  Amy Emminizer assisted Moreland for her second goal of the half and pushed the lead to 3-0 which they held at the half.  Glen Burnie held South River scoreless for the first thirty minutes of the second half until Moreland passed to Jayqueline Natoli for the first score of the second half and a 4-0 Seahawks lead.  With seven minutes left in the game, Princess Talbott crossed a pass to Moreland who fired past the keeper for a 5-0 lead and her first hat trick of the season.  Talbott continued the pressure and scored unassisted one minute later to make the score 6-0.  Colleen Wagner came out of the goal box in the final minutes and was awarded a direct kick from just outside the Gophers goal box.  Wagner's shot banged off the crossbar and the rebound was tapped into the goal by Talbott for the final score of 7-0.  The Seahawks managed thirty shots in the match to one shot by the Gophers.  Cristina Young, coming into goal in relief of Wagner, saved the lone shot and preserved the Seahawks sixth shutout of the season.
