The Seahawks had their toughest game of the season playing at Broadneck on a warm sunny afternoon. The Bruins came into the game undefeated and scoring ten goals in their first two games but it was South River scoring first. Alexis Ward used her strong throw-in to get an assist with Kelsie McGlynn running to receive the ball and send it over the Bruins keeper into the upper corner of the goal. The lead was short lived when the Bruins were given a direct kick from thirty yards out. Broadneck tied the game with a shot over the outstretched hands of South River keeper Colleen Wagner. South River took the lead for a second time in the second half when Caroline Boyd passed to Caroline Moss in a scrum by the Bruins goal and Moss finished with her left foot to make the score 2-1. Broadneck was awarded a penalty kick which was first saved by Seahawks keeper Colleen Wagner but the Bruins were able to get the rebound and put it back in to tie the score at two. Katie Sheridan put the Seahawks ahead for the third time with a shot from twenty yards out past the diving keeper. The final eight minutes Broadneck pushed for the tying goal with much of the possession in the Seahawks goal box. Broadneck was able to get a shot to the lower corner of the goal but Wagner made a diving save to get her fingers on the ball to push it out for a corner kick. The Seahawks outshot the Bruins eleven to three and escaped with the 3-2 win to remain undefeated on the season.
