The South River tennis team jumped on North County quickly on Friday and never looked back. In a match that featured four double bagels for Seahawks players, the 'Hawks defeated the Knights 8-1. The win moves South River to 9-1 on the season.
The Simmons' sisters combined for victories of 36-0 as all three of their matches resulted in double bagel victories on Senior Day. Seniors Ryan Flemming, Maya Fromme, Liz Simmons and Sean Miller all earned victories on the day.
With Broadneck's loss at the hands of Arundel on Friday and South River's win, the Seahawks can now claim the regular season County Championship by winning their final three matches.
South River returns to the courts when they hit the road to face Old Mill on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
