After a quick shower delayed the start of Wednesday's match for a few minutes, South River hit the courts and made quick work of Annapolis High School in a 7-2 win. 

Xiaosong Shang recorded her sixth double bagel of the season to set the tone for the Seahawks early.  Maya Fromme continued the success at girls' singles with a 6-3, 6-4 win.  The number two girls' doubles team of Hannah Parks and Katie Simmons remained unbeaten this season in county play (along with Shang) with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

Adam Russell gutted out a tough three set victory in boys' singles, while the boys' doubles team of Josh Lobo and Ivan Pintado also worked out a good win in the number one slot.  Liz Simmons and Sean Miller picked up a quick 6-1, 6-0 victory at mixed doubles while Sam Simmons and Mary Duggan finished off the day with another win at number one girls' doubles.

The win improved South River to 8-1 on the season.  The 'Hawks return to the courts tomorrow when they host Meade at 3:30 p.m.
