South River fell to Chesapeake on Friday afternoon. After giving up seven runs in the first two innings the Seahawks fought hard to keep the Cougars scoreless through the next two innings. At the plate, the Hawks struggled against pitcher Megan Hyson, who held them to just two hits and three walks. Senior Michelle Elliott had a double to right center and Sophomore Emily Bucknall had a line drive single to left field. The Seahawks hope to improve at the plate on Monday against Glen Burnie.
