South River Seahawks (10-4) prevail over North County 4-2 North County came out swinging early during their at bats yet were held to 2 runs against the Seahawks who scored 4 times over a 7 inning game at SRHS. North County plated one in the first and again in the 6th whereas the Seahawks crossed home in the in the second inning after pitcher Craig Sheridain singled and his courtesy runner Brody Raimondo was moved around by Gabe Vertucci, Jake Gratz, and Austin Wright connecting. In the fourth, Sheridan again singled and Vertucci doubled resulting in thier 2 runs. Later in the sixth, Jake Gratz was walked but booked the final run when his courtesy runner Leo Donovan made the rounds. Joe Scott also doubled during the game. Sheridan, who pitched the complete game striking out 4 for the win had the tieing run on first in the top of the 7th inning. But the final North County batter lined out hard to Wright covering third and a runner there ending the game in dramatic fashion.
