South River (8-3) drops 6-5 game to Meade despite efforts of Sia
Nick Sia did all he could to give South River a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Meade, as South River gave up a 3-0 lead and lost 6-5 in seven innings at Meade HS on Monday.
Sia had a hot bat for South River. Sia went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Starter Craig Sheridan was hit by pitch at his first plate appearance and was backed up on the mound by Austin Wright after 3 1/3 innings.
