South River hosted Arundel in a battle that lasted 8 innings before South River prevailed 9-8 with a walk-off base hit by Scott Mitchell to earn the victory. Mitchell was also credited with the win after pitching the 8th inning.
Bryan Shores started on the hill for the Seahawks. After giving up two in the first inning and one in the second inning, Shores and the Seahawks took control by scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the second.
Arundel made a fierce comeback scoring 3 in the 6th to take an 8-6 lead, only to see the Seahawks tie the game in the bottom of the 7th, and score the go ahead run in the 8th inning to push the Seahawks to 7-3 on the season.
