The Seahawks opened their 2011 season with a home game against Fallston. Scott Mitchell took the hill and pitched a complete game in a 4-1 loss. Fallston jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second on a walk, 4 hits and an error. The Seahawks came back and scored 1 in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a double by Jake Gratz and an RBI groundout by Gabe Vertucci. The game remained at 3-1 until the top of the 7th when Fallston scored an insurance run on a hit batter, a walk and a fielder's choice. Mitchell threw a complete game with 7 hits allowed, 3 bbs, 1 hit batter and 4 K's while the Seahawks bats fell eerily silent with just 4 hits. Jake Gratz had the lone extra base hit of the game with a double in the 4th.
