South River Seahawks bitten by Bobcats, 12-3
The Seahawks collapsed in a strange and uncharacteristic second inning, committing key errors at costly times, as Bel Air prevailed 12-3 on Tuesday at Bel Air.
Conner Cox and Mike Labs had RBI hits for the Hawks, while Craig Sheridan, Gabe Vertucci, Jake Donaldson, and Ben Nelson each had singles.
Grayson Boone got the win for Bel Air, allowing two runs over 4 1/3 innings. Boone struck out three and walked six.
Austin Wright started for the Hawks and took the loss. He was followed on the mound by Brody Raimondo, Alex Kopin and Mike Kalin. Combined the staff yielded 10 hits and 7 walks, while striking out 2. Yet, only 3 of the Bobcats runs were earned.
The Hawks drop to 6-2 overall.
