The 'Hawks took advantage of 8 Annapolis errors to post a 10-6 victory. Freshman Gabe Vertucci was the hitting star with 3 doubles in 3 trips plus a perfect sacrifice bunt. Ryan Schoenbauer and Kevin Loftis each contributed doubles of their own while Schoenbauer also scored 3 times with 2 RBIs. If the Seahawks had run the bases adequately, the game would have been no contest at all.
From the mound, Scott Mitchell won his 4th game while striking out 7. Kevin Loftis relieved Mitchell in the 6th inning with the bases loaded and ended the threat without surrendering a run for the save.
