Trailing 7-0 after five innings, the young Seahawks started to battle back against Northeast. Batting around in the sixth inning, the 'Hawks scored three times before leaving the bases full. The rally began with a Joe Scott double - his second hit of the game. After Nick Whiting was hit by a pitch, Ryan Schoenbauer delivered Scott with an RBI single into right field. Working a double steal, Schoenbaueer was thrown out at second but this play allowed Nick Whiting to score from the front end of the double steal. The 'Hawks then worked hard to load the bases before Luke Jenkins worked an RBI walk for the third run of the inning.
In the final frame, the Seahawks again loaded the bases for Scott Mitchell who delivered an RBI single. With the bases full with the tying runs, a full count and the runners going on the pitch with two outs, Connor Cox was unable to come through, ending the exciting rally and the game.
Ryan Schoenbauer had two hits and an RBI. Joe Scott had two hits including a double and a walk.
